I have lived in the Beaver Falls area my entire life. I have spent my adult life taking care of my loved ones and my community. Through my work I have seen people burning the candle at both ends just to make sure that they and their families can be prosperous. Oftentimes, it feels like the system is holding working class people back, but I believe in a better future for Western Pennsylvania. A future where wages grow with the cost of goods, instead of leaving workers behind; a future that allows us to look forward with a gleam in our eyes instead of fear in our hearts. I know that this is possible because the oppressive economic situation that many of us face is an issue that does not target one political party over another. There is far more that unites us than divides us.
We need representatives in Harrisburg who will not only listen to the experiences of their constituents but who have lived those experiences as well.
As a State Representative, I am committed to finding solutions by listening to my constituents. The issues that we face here in Beaver County are not Republican or Democrat issues. The issues that Beaver Countians face such as paying the bills, affording quality health care, access to family sustaining jobs, and protecting our communities and our children are not partisan issues.
These issues require common sense solutions and I am ready to fight for them. I will be 33 in October and I have the energy to not just sit in the office but actually be within the communities. The work necessary for productive change has to begin from the community.
I am ready to fight for the people of District 14 and do the hard work to improve our quality of life. Holding our elected officials accountable and fighting for better representation will take all of us in tandem to build a better tomorrow.
My friends, I may not have walked in your shoes but I’m sure that we have more in common than not. So I’ve decided not to run like a politician. Instead I would love to have a conversation with each of you and give you the opportunity to speak about your struggles, so we can work together on a solution. I understand that our leaders must come together and I am willing to work with anyone, on any party that wants to work on community based solutions.
For far too long we have dealt with representatives that have used us for our votes and disappear once elected. The time to change that begins now!
